I'm an aspiring composer, writer, and artist. I play percussion in a concert band (four-mallet marimba on my own!) and sing in my church's worship band. I've also taught myself some guitar and piano.

Happy Stress Week

Also known as the week before finals - everyone is studying, prepping for juries, practicing for final concerts, rushing to finish papers and praying that they don’t fall behind. There is so much to do, and so little time. But I’m so glad for everything to finally be over. All semester feels like a constant uphill battle. Tiny Update

Well, it’s been forever since I’ve written a journal. Or submitted any kind of art. That’s because college is SUPER busy, and any sketches I do are very rough and in the margins of my notebook. I realize I’ve only ever doodled in one class because I only have one really boring class!! All my others require my full attention, and I’m learning so much. The College Life

Hey, guess what! I’m in college!! Currently I’m sitting in the lobby of my dorm, trying to do homework at 6:15 in the morning like the weirdo I am. But I got stuck on trying to reharmonize this Bach Chorale, so now I’m just writing a journal. Yesterday was my first day of classes. Wednesdays have the lightest schedule for me, but I still worked for about five hours on homework my comp professor had assigned before classes officially started. Hello, Lily. I don't know if you still remember me, but I had gotten locked out of my old TheSkull31 page in August, 2020 (which, shockingly, is still active though I have not been able to get back into it in well over a year). I luckily decided to reinvent myself in October that year as IAmTheSkull and somehow, by sheer luck, have nearly 7,500 views in almost a year and-a-half (a far cry from my nearly 900,000 views under my previous page, but that's okay with me and I take solace in that).

If for whatever reason you find the time to respond -- I hope you can despite having a very busy life over the last three years -- just feel free to reply with a simple "I'm glad you came back" or something and then we can go from there. I appreciate you being supportive of me during my nearly ten years as TheSkull31, and I thank you for reading. Sorry for the long-winded comment, but I figured it would make sense this way.
